Being 100% Original

What comes to mind when you think of the word originality? Some words that come to my mind are individuality, creativeness, personality, and trueness. Being original is being true to yourself. It’s simply being you and the amazing thing is- you have something to offer no one else has. There is no other you, and all the unique and amazing things you’re capable of can only be accomplished by you.

Your ideas, imagination, creativity, and uniqueness are so important it’ll blow your mind when you realize how special you are in this huge complex world. Your originality is the most valuable asset when it comes to creativeness. Next time you create something take a minute to think about how you’re making it your own. Being and demonstrating yourself in work and art is like striking gold. If you want to be the best and offer something unique, tap into yourself, find and extract those gems of individuality and use them in your work.

When was the last time you told someone. Thank you for being you? Think about that compliment. Thank you for being you. This is one of the best compliments to ever give and receive. It’s not just saying thank you for everything you’ve done, but thank you for being who you are. Personally this is one of the best compliments I’ve ever received. I’ll tell you nothing feels more better than that compliment. I think more people should use it. It’s crazy how much it’ll boost someone’s attitude and motivation.

Next time you work on a project. Think about how your own uniqueness and how it can add value to your work. What’s something only you can imagine? What separates you from everyone else? I think this answer simply comes down to being who you are. Let yourself shine. Let everyone know who you are, and show off your talents.

I’d like to end this note with one of my favorites quotes.

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” -Dr. Seuss
